Oak (II)

The Lantern Room

Here is another photograph of the Oak tree I previously photographed and posted. I took this photograph at the weekend and was a little closer to it this time. The sky was just so pretty. We were actually looking 90 degrees in the other direction trying to (unsuccessfully) identify a bird of prey when I noticed the layers of colour in the sky and thought how nice it would be to have a silhouette of the Oak with this sky.

Trees and skies feature prominently in my postings at the  moment as the sunsets (and accompanying silhouettes) and the soft light – which lends an interesting glow to the trees – are amongst the most interesting features. The unusually warm Autumn means there isn’t very much to differentiate between Spring, Summer and Autumn. Apart from one or two mild frosts, Wintery weather feels quite remote.
